David Johnson is a Top Six Pick in Fantasy Football in 2016

When it comes to fantasy football and the Arizona Cardinals one names has been on top for almost a decade. Larry Fitzgerald has been the one consistent performer, whether in real or fantasy football.

Well, it appears it is time for the passing of the torch because one Arizona Cardinals player is getting talked about as a top 10 lock for the 2016 fantasy football season.

The NFL Network wrapped up their top 50 fantasy players for 2016 and landing at six on the list was the Arizona Cardinals David Johnson.

While many Cardinals fans are expecting big year out of Johnson, to see the national media expect so much from David Johnson is exciting.

One reason many are so high on Johnson is because of his diverse ability as a player. Matt "Money" Smith on Johnson, "Think about how big he is, how versatile he is between the tackles, and this is a guy who returned a kick return 95-something yards for a touchodwn. That's how good and how diverse his skillset is."

Alex Gelhar added, "He's an elite pass-catching back operating in one of the NFL's best offenses who is steadily improving as a between-the-tackles runner... Johnson is a difference-maker who should have secure volume and a safe weekly fantasy floor thanks to his role in the passing game. He's a no-brainer first-round pick thanks to his dual-threat ability and insane upside if he receives a featured back's workload (which he should)."
