It wasn't too long ago that Blake Bortles was the apple of Bruce Arians quarterback of the future eye. Well, if Arians liked Blake then, he'll love what Blake Bortles is doing now in seeking out the advice of Carson Palmer and Aaron Rodgers.
One of the off season tasks for Bortles was to find quarterbacks with similar playing styles and Bortles picked Rodgers and Palmer.
It's interesting, at least to me, that Bortles reached out to Palmer. Maybe about growing up with a franchise that has a history of not being great.
Palmer's advice, per Bortles "Carson was good. He's laid back, and he's an unbelievable quarterback and leader in the NFL. He said similar things. He said, ‘Just continue to build chemistry and rapport with the guys you're with.'"
Palmer was at a similar junction in his young career with a talented offensive core trying to pick a franchise out of the doldrums.
Palmer, Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh were the core of the young Bengals before Palmer's injury.
What do you think?
