50 Days Until the Arizona Cardinals Kickoff the 2016 Season

What are some stats with the number 50? Who has worn 50 in Cardinals history?

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

There are 50 little days left until the Arizona Cardinals kick off the regular season against the New England Patriots.

What are some stats with the number 50 and who are some of the players that have worn 50 throughout the Cardinals history?

  • Freddie Joe Nunn wore 50 his last three years with the Cardinals.  He had 17.5 sacks of his franchise record 66.5 sacks in those three seasons.  Those 17.5 sacks would put him 17th all-time in Cardinals history.  He was really good for the Cardinals.
  • The number 50 has been passed around the linebacking unit recently, with O'Brien Schofield, Dontay Moch and Larry Foote wearing the number recently.  Gabe Martin currently wears 50 for the Cardinals.
  • Speaking of sacks, Curtis Greer had 50.5 career sacks with the Cardinals, including 30 over two seasons (1983 and 1984).
  • Ollie Matson had 50 career touchdowns with the Cardinals, good for sixth all time.
  • Matt Leinart's QBR in 2006 was 50.44.  You can't tell me Leinart's rookie season was almost as good as Palmer's 2013.  I still don't understand QBR.
  • Lamar McHan is eighth all time in touchdown passes with the Cardinals at 50 career touchdown passes thrown.

Anymore 50's?
