There are only 45 days left until the Arizona Cardinals open the 2016 season.  More importantly though, the Arizona Cardinals open training camp tomorrow, with the conditioning test.

With that in mind, let's take a look at some players who have worn 45 and some stats with 45 in Cardinals history.

  • There have been some okay players that have worn 45 in Cardinals history, but Leonard Smith is the best.
  • Reagan Maui'a wore 45, and that is probably who Cardinals fans remember wearing the jersey last, but it was last worn in the regular season by Kenny Demens, before he switched to 54.
  • Mel Gray has 45 career receiving touchdowns in 145 games for the Cardinals and 46 total touchdowns, that is good for seventh all time in Cardinals history.
  • Anquan Boldin has 45 career touchdowns with the Cardinals, good for eighth all time.  He played 95 games for the Cardinals.  That's astonishing.
  • Eric Swann has 45.5 sacks in his Cardinals career. That's good sixth all time and he accomplished the feat in 110 games with the Cardinals.

Any other 45's?
