Arizona Cardinals Have Some Injury Concerns into Training Camp

The Arizona Cardinals open training camp with some key players nursing injuries, who are they?

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals open training camp today and there are already some minor injuries and "setbacks" to key players.

It was revealed yesterday that Robert Nkemdiche has an ankle sprain and is day-to-day, as Nkemdiche showed up to day one of camp sporting a walking boot.  While the Nkemdiche injury should not be major, ankle sprains can linger, so you hope it is something that gets healed properly and does not become an issue throughout the season.

The other reason the Nkemdiche injury "hurts" is that veteran Frostee Rucker is starting camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.  The defensive line is supposed to be a strength, but two of the top five players are starting off on the sidelines.

Maybe more importantly, Justin Bethel has had a setback in his rehab on his injured foot, after having off season surgery on a foot fracture, Bethel has spent the better part of the off season in rehab and preparing for his chance to be the teams cornerback two.

Every second that Bethel is on the sideline instead of on the field is a concern, in my eyes, and there was obviously a reason behind the late signing of Mike Jenkins.

Which player are you most concerned about moving forward?
