Today in the team's first padded practice, former 7th overall selection by the Arizona Cardinals Jonathan Cooper was carted off the Patriots practice field.
Cooper was traded along with a 2nd round pick to the New England Patriots for Chandler Jones in a blockbuster deal earlier this offseason.
According to reports, Cooper's injury isn't ankle-related, but that he's battling plantar fasciitis.
#Patriots OL Jonathan Cooper, who was carted off today, is battling a plantar fascia issue, sources say. Not structural with his ankle.
