Arizona Cardinals Wrap Up on Revenge of the Birds

Seth and I discuss the Arizona Cardinals 31-10 loss to the Oakland Raiders.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals dropped their preseason opener to the Oakland Raiders 31-10 and Seth and I discussed what we took from the game.

We start out talking about the first team and how they looked.  Outside of two or three players, both sides of the ball on the first team looked ready to go.

David Johnson was the obvious standout, but who else stood out on offense.

How bad were Drew Stanton and Matt Barkley who combined to go 10-30 for 163 yards and two interceptions?

What about the defense?  Outside of holding Derek Carr to a punt on their first series, did anyone on the first team defense stand out?

On the second team defense and beyond, was there too many guys trying to make plays instead of trying to be a part of the defense?

We disagreed on how one rookie played, but overall, the worst part of the game had to be special teams.
