After two preseason games for the Arizona Cardinals there was one thing that was certain, the Arizona Cardinals need a little more depth at the corner position.

It is not that they do not have talent, they have good players in Brandon Williams, Justin Bethel and Cariel Brooks opposite of Patrick Peterson, but they lack the playing experience.

Mike Jenkins and Alan Ball were both brought in to offer that veteran presence, but neither has been healthy much during camp.

Well, apparently there is another name to know, as the Arizona Cardinals are showing interesting in recently released New Orleans Saints cornerback, Keenan Lewis.

After Josina Anderson reported the Cardinals may have interest in the veteran, local insider Mike Jurecki confirmed it, saying the Cardinals want to see the health of Lewis before moving forward.

Lewis was released because of continued injury concerns the Saints have, but some have speculated that Lewis just never meshed with defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.

Lewis, a 6-0 200lbs corner, is trying to regain the form he had two years ago where he was one of the top corners according to Pro Football Focus. Of course, that was the same year Pro Football Focus loved what Alan Ball did in Jacksonville, so there are a lot of questions whether the 30 year old corner can regain his form, especially with the injury concerns.
