Five things to watch at the Arizona Cardinals Red and White Practice

NFL: Arizona Cardinals-Minicamp Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals annual Red and White Practice is today, if you have any questions on logistics, check out this article here, but this is more about what to watch for in the practice today.

Here are the five things I’ll be watching at the Arizona Cardinals Red and White Practice.

How Do Evan Mathis and DJ Humphries Look

The Arizona Cardinals replaced 60% of their offensive line this off season and Evan Mathis is coming off of surgery and has already missed time in camp because of fatigue.

Add in that D.J. Humphries is basically a rookie when it comes to live reps and the right side of the offensive line holds a lot of questions.

How Good is Brandon Williams Right Now

No player has created and deserved more buzz than rookie cornerback Brandon Williams. He has been called a starter by Bruce Arians and there seems to be momentum building to that reality.

We know if Williams is out there he will be targeted, so getting a chance to continue to watch Williams growth and where he is at in his development will be interesting.

Who Is Chris Hubert

No position on the Arizona Cardinals roster is going to be harder to crack than the wide receiving unit.

Yet, all camp long we have heard rave reviews about undrafted and undersized rookie Chris Hubert.

Could he really be a threat to make the roster? Is he a practice squad guy that the Arizona Cardinals hope does not get poached?

How do the Rookies Look

We know about Robert Nkemdiche and Brandon Williams, one hasn’t practiced and the other has been the star of practices, but what about Evan Boehm, Cole Toner, Marqui Christian and Harlan Miller? How do the rest of the rookies look and will they have a chance to make not only the team, but an impact in 2016?

Matt Barkley

Simply put, I want to see Matt Barkley continue to play well. After two days with a lot of reps and a chance to show his ability as the second string quarterback, Barkley and the offense came back down to earth on Thursday.

He’ll be running the third team offense, how well does he command it and is he making the right reads and throws?

What about you, what are you going to be watching at the Red and White Practice?

Note: I omitted Tristan Okpalaugu because he did not practice on Friday so I am waiting to see if he is healthy for today.
