Five Arizona Cardinals to Watch in Tonight's Preseason Finale

Five players who have an opportunity to show out for the Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL in their preseason finale

It is the last game of the preseason and maybe the last chance for some players to make an NFL roster. It is also a chance for players that will not make the Arizona Cardinals roster this year, to show other NFL teams that they belong.

Here are five players that will be playing for a spot with the Arizona Cardinals, either on the active roster or the practice squad tonight, in the Arizona Cardinals preseason finale against the Denver Broncos

Matt Barkley

This is not like last year where Logan Thomas and Philip Sims were pit against each other then both were cut. This is the Matt Barkley show, it is his chance. I am not even sure who the other quarterback will be if anything, God forbid, happens to Barkley.

Barkley has shown flashes of competence, but questions remain about his ability to push the ball vertically as well as outside of the numbers. I don’t see Barkley on the Arizona Cardinals 53 man roster, but he could end up on the practice squad, or another NFL roster.

Kerwynn Williams

Williams has been a fan favorite for the past couple of seasons, but I believe that the Arizona Cardinals would like to get Elijhaa Penny on the practice squad more than Williams (that’s just my opinion). Williams will get to split carries with Penny and once again show the NFL he is a capable back that deserves a roster spot in the NFL.

Chris Hubert

Once the revelation of training camp, Hubert struggled in his first two preseason games and fell off the map a little bit. After a really good outing in his last game against Houston, the small receiver is again putting his hat in the ring to be the sixth wide receiver on the Arizona Cardinals roster.

If Hubert can shine brighter than Brittan Golden or Jaxon Shipley, maybe he is the guy who gets that spot. If not, I would not be shocked to see him on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad.

Matthias Farley

After a blistering first two weeks in the preseason, Farley was difficult to find in week three. Now, with the Arizona Cardinals hurting in the secondary, the question is can Farley crack the roster and give the Cardinals more depth, or will he get caught up in the numbers game and get squeezed out to keep more cornerbacks?

Lamar Louis

The LSU product has been a monster on special teams, but the undersized linebacker will get a chance to do some damage as a linebacker tonight. Can he prove to be capable enough as well as show enough promise for the future to land a roster spot or practice squad spot?

Who will you be keeping an eye on tonight for the Arizona Cardinals?
