Bruce Arians started his day after the game press conference frankly enough, no cuts to be announced, "It's called a deadline for a reason."
No cuts announced today, Arians said. It's called a deadline for a reason, he says

Great news on the injury front for one of the best players from camp.
Bruce Arians says LB Kareem Martin could be out as few as two weeks and as much as six weeks.

That means, to me, that Martin will make the roster for the Arizona Cardinals.
They also announced the captains for the 2016 season.
.@AZCardinals captains for 2016: Palmer and Fitz on offense, Peterson and Mathieu on defense, Catanzaro and Bethel on special teams.

The Arizona Cardinals can expect one of their defensive captains to be on the field game one, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
"I expect him to play every single play." - Bruce Arians on Tyrann Mathieu for Week 1 vs. Patriots

Something to think about with the Arizona Cardinals final 53, do they keep five or six wide receivers with all the nicks and bruises they have?
BA: WR J.J. Nelson has been dealing with cracked bone in his thumb, will be fitted with a splint.

The other discussion is why wait for the deadline. I have a couple of theories here.
- They want to see how injury information comes back.
- Who else is released, that could factor in to their final 53.
- Waiting to see if any trades make themselves available
Arians on announcing cuts Sat instead of Fri: "Some teams are happy to cut guys and get it over with it. We’ve got a very talented group."
— Kent Somers (@kentsomers) September 2, 2016
Like I was saying.
#AZCardinals not announcing cuts until Saturday because trades could still happen. "Steve (Keim) is pretty active right now," Arians said.
