The Arizona Cardinals have begun the construction of their 53 man roster and one of the first moves made was the addition of a young cornerback, Marcus Cooper.

Cooper has spent the previous three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was an anomaly his rookie season, drawing praise and rave reviews from fans and Pro Football Focus alike.
Yet, the his play and playing time diminshed over the last several seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, so a fresh start will be given in Arizona.
Cooper's time in Kansas City was a tale of two careers, the first nine games of his career were fantastic. It has been a free fall since.
According to @PFF, Marcus Cooper hasn't notched a single negatively rated game in his entire rookie season thus far. #Chiefs

The Niners cut current Chiefs CB Marcus Cooper in favor to keep Nnamdi on their roster. Cooper is currently PFF's 4th ranked overall CB.

But, as we all know, NFL also stands for "not for long" for a reason.
After allowing 207 yards in coverage in his first 9 games, Marcus Cooper surrendered 128 vs the Broncos. #Chiefs

Chiefs CB Marcus Cooper has turned from feel-good story to weak link. 207 yds allowed in his first 9 games, 274 in his last two.

From then on he has not recovered.
Could Cooper be this years D.J. Swearinger?
That's what the Arizona Cardinals would love.
Of course if he is not, that conditional pick could be nothing at all.
