Tyrann Mathieu Takes a Shot at Jay Cutler

The Cardinals defensive back was not impressed with Jay Cutler on Monday Night Football

There is a constant question on who takes over for the Arizona Cardinals when Carson Palmer finally hangs up the cleats.

We see names get thrown around all the time; we see civil discourse on whether it should be a rookie, a young player Arizona drafts and develops or even if they go with another veteran.

Well, one name I have seen come up and someone I have said would not be a bad option in the post Palmer years I feel confident will no longer be an option.

Jay Cutler was injured last night, but before that, he drew the ire of many with his poor play, one of those people that were bothered by Cutler’s performance was the Arizona Cardinals own Tyrann Mathieu.

Mathieu quickly deleted the tweet, but with the internet, nothing is ever gone.

While Mathieu does not have any say in personnel decisions and in the end it would come down to how Bruce Arians felt about Jay Cutler and if Steve Keim could get him to the Arizona Cardinals for the right price, how would this go over?

Maybe it is an easy thing to smooth over, but as a quarterback, you need the team to buy into you, and that is already in question with a tweet like this.

What do you think?
