Arizona Cardinals vs Buffalo Bills: Player of the Game

The Arizona Cardinals were beaten by the Bills on Sunday. Was there anyone who deserved the game ball?

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals suffered their second loss of 2016. A season many fans had high hopes for has instead given many cause for concern. Although we're only two weeks in, this is not the start that the Arizona Cardinals had expected.

On Sunday, the entire team played poorly. From yet another week Special Teams display, to the offense giving the ball away the most times under Bruce Arians, no one played well. But does that mean there were still some bright spots?

John Brown:

Brown reeled in six catches for 70 yards. Not only that, but he nearly single handedly put the Cardinals back in the game, but instead came up 20 yards short after a spectacular returned kick following a safety. Brown looks to be getting closer to becoming the playmaker he was in 2015.

Chandler Catanzaro:

Catanzaro put on as good a performance as a kicker can get. He punted the ball twice due to Drew Butler's ankle injury, allowed only three kick returns, but he also broke a personal best and the record for Orchard Park stadium. His 60 yard field goal was the best of his career, and the longest field goal in Orchard Park. He still has to deal with a rookie long snapper, but that could quickly change.

Patrick Peterson:

Peterson played well, travelling the field since Sammy Watkins was out. He came up with a brilliant one handed interception, giving him two on the season. With uncertainty at the #2 cornerback spot, Patrick has had little to do on his side in three weeks.

In my eyes those are the only three worthy of a game ball. Who do you think is worthy? Let us know in the comments and Poll below.
