Murray has been with the Chiefs the past two seasons, but has not seen any regular season action.
The move officially ends the Matt Barkley era in Arizona as the Cardinals have decided to take a shot with Murray as their developmental quarterback.
Murray had some believers in Kansas City his first two years, but struggled over the 2016 camp and preseason. When Nick Foles was brought in to be the main backup, the writing was on the wall.
Murray finished the 2016 preseason 25/41 61% completion 273 yards with 0 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Based on his work in Kansas City, it seems as though not much has changed with Murray since his pre draft evaluation in 2014.
What that tells us though, is the Cardinals were done with their evaluation of Barkley and Jake Coker.
Barkley has joined the Chicago Bears practice squad after going unclaimed on waivers.

Interesting decision as Arizona has decided to start from scratch in their quarterback development.
Update: Um...
