The Arizona Cardinals may see an even more limited New England Patriots squad than expected on Sunday in their season opener.
NFL Network's Courtney Fallon is reporting the Patriots All Pro tight end, Rob Gronkowski will not play im the regular season opener.

Gronkowski has been dealing with a hamstring issue all of camp that had caused him to miss the Patriots preseason.
There was hope he would be healthy enough to contribute in the Pats first regular season game, especially with Tom Brady suspended, but that hope looks like it may have come to an end as well.
While the Patriots do not have to declare Gronkowski out until Saturday evening, the leak may be accurate.
There is also the reality that maybe this is a Bill Belichick type mind game, and he wants the Arizona Cardinals preparing for Gronkowski as long as possible and Gronk was never close to being healthy.
We will see.
