Michael Floyd catches first TD in New England

Is this what Floyd needed?

NFL: New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

It did not take long for Michael Floyd to find his footing in New England.

After one game inactive, a single catch in a blowout win over the New York Jets, Floyd caught his first touchdown in a Patriots uniform against the Miami Dolphins.

It is just what many Floyd fans thought he would do, go to New England and find his footing after an up and down career in Arizona where he never quite found his full potential.

While some are skeptical of Floyd, me being one of them, we may see the player everyone expected coming out of Notre Dame. Being cut, embarrassed and soon to be suspended, this could finally be the wake up call he needed.

Others, the Floyd believers, will wonder what could have been with Floyd.

No matter what, congrats to Floyd, hopefully for him this is the start of something wonderful in his career.
