Arizona Cardinals re-sign Josh Mauro

The young defensive lineman will stay with Arizona for the next couple seasons.

The Arizona Cardinals have done an excellent job of finding and keeping young, undrafted free agents.

Josh Mauro is a shining example.

After signing with Pittsburgh out of Stanford in 2014, Mauro has been with the Arizona Cardinals since.

He has steadily progressed in each of his three partial seasons in Arizona and put up career numbers in 2016 playin in 15 games and settting career highs with 13 starts and 42 tackles.

Mauro has been a steadying influence on the Cardinals with his reliable, workman like play week in and week out.

For his efforts, the Arizona Cardinals have signed the restricted free agent to a two year deal.

Terms of the contract were not immediately disclosed.

For his career, Mauro has played in 34 games, starting 19 and has recorded 70 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three passes defensed.

He will be an integral part in keeping tje Arizona Cardinals defensive line fresh and effective.
