Arizona Cardinals take pass rushing talent in newest 2017 NFL Mock Draft

Would you take another pass rusher over a potential wide receiver?

NCAA Football: Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl-Alabama vs Washington Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

While the Friday mock is a day late, it is loaded with great ideas and nuggets of info on these draft prospects.

This week, I'm using my buddy Matt Miller's big board on the FanSpeak mock draft simulator today, let's see what this week's draft holds in store for us.

In round one, there was plenty of choices to make, but I really liked one player and position in this one.

Tim Williams, OLB Alabama

There's a caveat, we need more information on the information that came out about Williams and possibly failed drug tests.

We'll see if this mounts to anything, but Williams is dynamic off the edge, he gives the Cardinals flexibility with Chandler Jones and Markus Golden moving forward and he's already flourishing in a part time role.

Barnett and Howard were the toughest passes, since I am skipping quarterback in round one, let's see what happens on day two though.

It's another premium position move for the Arizona Cardinals… let's just call this the Oakland Raiders formula for success.

Patrick Mahomes, QB Texas Tech

Dink explained why Mahomes would be a great fit for Arizona, this is the ticket right here, at least to me.

This was the toughest decision, but I like the idea of picking up a position of need with a top talent, for the Cardinals, that's:

Jake Butt, TE Michigan

Butt is not the game changer of Howard early, not the athlete of Evan Engram later, but he is a fantastic pass catcher, a hard nosed run blocker and a good enough athlete.

Love the idea of getting a part time player in Williams early that can have a big impact, a potential quarterback of the future in Mahomes and then a guy who can start from jump in Butt.

What would you have done?
