It wasn’t the season they wanted, but it sure as hell was the ending the expected, clobbering the Los Angeles Rams, in Carson Palmer’s return to The Coliseum.
While David Johnson was hurt, in what seems so far like a non serious manner, the rest of the game went better than expected.
Larry Fitzgerald finished the season as the NFL receptions leader, finished with over 1,000 yards receiving and scored a touchdown again... finally.
Chandler Jones and Markus Golden each finished with double digit sacks and the Cardinals throttled a hapless Rams team that was just looking to enjoy the Los Angeles winter.
It was exactly what we had expected from this team all season, it just took a little longer to show up than we had hoped.
The players were excited as well, taking to Twitter to talk about the win, and even though the season was a disappointment overall, the Cardinals finished on a strong note as the best team, record wise, within their division.
It was those pesky games outside.
Go cards! Great team win! #Birdgang
