It was a tough year for a lot of Arizona Cardinals, yet for a couple, including Larry Fitzgerald, they were able to continue to play at not just a high level, but a special level.
For Fitzgerald, that meant leading the NFL in receptions in the 2016 season.
It was the second time in Fitzgerald’s career that he led the NFL in receptions, the first was in 2005, the 11 year span in between was also a record.

For Fitzgerald, the 107 receptions were the second most in a season in his career. Surprisingly, the most he had in a single season, 109, was last year, when he did not lead the NFL in receptions.
Fitzgerald finished with 1,023 yards, the eighth time in his career he finished with 1,000 yards or more in a season.
It is just another notch in the belt for Fitzgerald in his amazing career, and we are all lucky to have been fans of it.
