There is no question the Arizona Cardinals are trying to find an answer to their running game woes.
After the injury to All-Pro David Johnson, the Cardinals have given Kerwynn Williams and Chris Johnson both a shot.
Neither worked, so the brass of the Cardinals decided to try behind door number three, which was Adrian Peterson via a trade with the New Orleans Saints.
The results will be fun to watch, hopefully, but there is no question it has gone a long way in at least boosting morale amongst the players.
Today is a good day!!! Welcome to the #BirdGang @AdrianPeterson !!! We got work to do! https://t.co/qDXw4ekyDN

The media and fans on the other hand are not as enthusiastic.
Addition of AP would be more exciting if we had a decent Oline. I am confident the left side will get better with Boone/Humphries though.

If nothing else, Adrian Peterson won't make the Cardinals' running game any worse. Along with that, adding him is pretty cool.

I only know Emmitt Smith from his Cardinals years so I'm happy the next generation gets to experience that with Adrian Peterson

New #AZCardinals RB Adrian Peterson in a text to @StaceyDales: “I’m so ecstatic”

Adrian Peterson hasn't scored a TD since Week 17, 2015.

Can't protect. Not good as a receiver. Is slow. Doesn't produce Yards after contact like he used to. Horrible line. At least Fitz is happy.

Reaction to Peterson trade to Cardinals: Yawn. Arizona adds another aging star to a team that already has too many.
— Don Banks (@DonBanks) October 10, 2017
Well, we finally got Adrian Peterson and Larry Fitzgerald on the same team like we always wanted.

I know many fans have given up, but I'm glad the team hasn't. If AZ can stay around .500 till DJ gets back, you never know

why not? Worth a try

Better burst than CJ. Still need o line. As evidence of Larry tweet, could help locker room spirit. Hopefully low pick. Time will tell.

1st of a couple moves to try and salvage the season...I hope

Many fans are hoping this at least boost the run game potential for the Arizona Cardinals. However, if that doesn't occur, it's at a cost of nothing.
If Peterson does help, it makes the return of David Johnson less of a rush, he can potentially buy time and not force Johnson to feel rushed back, again only if he is good which is the entire question that everyone has.
It is a low risk to take, but do you like the move?
