It has been a tough season and yet, after two quarters of football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Arizona Cardinals look like not just a competent football team, but a good football team.
The offense was rolling with Adrian Peterson in the fold and opened up the passing game for Carson Palmer.
The most interesting aspect of the first half was the near refusal of the Bucs to cover Larry Fitzgerald, who is absolutely shredding the Bucs secondary.
That led to a huge Arizona Cardinals first half, as they lead the Bucs 24-0.
The Cardinals are looking for their first shutout since December of 1992 against the New York Giants. It could be in sight with Jameis Winston being out of the game.
Some halftime stats:
Carson Palmer 13/13 211 yards 2TD
Adrian Peterson 11 carries 85 yards 1TD
Larry Fitzgerald 8 catches 128 yards 1TD
Troy Niklas 2 catches 20 yards 1TD
Let’s get this win... Go Cardinals!
