There were plenty of questions about Adrian Peterson after his trade to the Arizona Cardinals this week.
Did he have anything left in the tank?
At Revenge of the Birds, we talked about why it didn’t matter whether he had anything left or not, and we brought in a game film specialist to look at Peterson, and he thought this was a nice fit.
Twitter was also indifferent after the trade, but now, after one game, the excitement came through.

Adrian Peterson had 4 carries, 54 yds & a TD on his 1st drive w/ @AZCardinals.
— ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) October 15, 2017
He had 27 carries, 81 yds & no TD w/ the Saints this year.
Adrian Peterson gained more yards on his first drive as a Cardinal than any Cardinals running back gained in an entire game this year.

The game, the moment and Adrian Peterson were all fantastic.
It was a great game for the Cardinals offensively and it shows the need for Bruce Arians offense to have a semblance of balance.
Adrian Peterson’s “comeback” game of 26 carries for 134 and 2 touchdowns was much needed for the Cardinals.
He is now the teams leading rusher by 20 yards on the season, with 19 less carries and help take their season total of 259 yards to 419 yards on the season.
