The Arizona Cardinals have made a couple of moves after the news of Markus Golden's season ending knee injury.
First, they have placed Golden on injured reserve.
The pass rushing linebacker joins: David Johnson (likely to return), T.J. Logan (return possible), Mike Iupati (Will determine Logan's return status), and Ronald Zamort.
In a corresponding move, the Cardinals are bringing back former offensive lineman Earl Watford.
Watford was signed in the offseason by the Jacksonville Jaguars, but didn't make it to the regular season before being cut.
He has been available since the beginning of the season, yet remained unsigned. Yet, after a plethora of injuries to the Cardinals offensive line, they have brought him back.
Where he fits into the offense is yet to be seen. Does he come in and compete at left guard? Is he here to push Evan Boehm at right guard? Is he the backup right tackle?
Oh, by the way, Vinston Painter was cut.
