Arizona Cardinals need help, could Pittsburgh assist one more time?

The Arizona Cardinals need help for now and the future, could Martavis Bryant offer that?

The Arizona Cardinals need some help.

Not just for 2017, but beyond.

Going into 2018 they have Chad Williams and J.J. Nelson under contract at wide receiver… that's it.

Sure they could bring back Larry Fitzgerald, hell Fitz can do whatever he wants forever in Arizona, but they need something at wide receiver.

The Steelers, like the Phoenix Suns, have a disgruntled employee who would like to be elsewhere.

Martavis Bryant has been a touchdown machine in Pittsburgh, scoring 15 touchdowns in three seasons.

Is he a headache? Absolutely, but he also wants a chance to play and wants to be the focal point of an offense.

The Cardinals can offer him both of those things.

They have a veteran in Fitz who could help him this year and next if he decides to come back, but he'll also be a nice foil to Fitz, and the smaller receivers the Cardinals have.

The 6-4, 211lbs Bryant as a rookie caught 26 passes for 549 yards and eight touchdowns.

In his second season, he caught 50 passes for 765 yards and six touchdowns in his second year before being suspended for all of 2016.

That's the rub on Martavis, he's had some issues. He's a risk.

Yet, for the Cardinals, they need to take some risks and have them pay off.

Is it one worth taking for the Cardinals?
