After the 2016 NFL season, the question was... Was it worth it?
Sure, the players and coaching staff wanted to win, but the was a couple extra wins worth the drop in draft slot.
Haason Reddick has been a nice player so far and seems to have a bright future, but they missed on a player like Marshon Lattimore who looks to be a top five cornerback in the NFL and the potential of the entire quarterback class.
Could it happen again in 2018?
If the season ended now, the Arizona Cardinals would find themselves with the 13th pick.
- Cleveland Browns (0-9)
- San Francisco 49ers (1-9)
- New York Giants (1-8)
- Indianapolis Colts (3-7)
- Cincinnati Bengals (3-6)
- Denver Broncos (3-6)
- Los Angeles Chargers (3-6)
- Cleveland Browns via Houston Texans (3-6)
- Chicago Bears (3-6)
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-6)
- New York Jets (4-6)
- Baltimore Ravens (4-5)
- Arizona Cardinals (4-5)
- Oakland Raiders (4-5)
- Washington Redskins (4-5)
- Miami Dolphins (4-5)
- Dallas Cowboys (5-4)
- Detroit Lions (5-4)
- Green Bay Packers (5-4)
- Atlanta Falcons (5-4)
The reality is, the Cardinals are on a razor’s edge of being out of the top 15 but also in the top 10.
That’s the way of the NFL in 2017. There are a bunch of teams that are neither good nor bad, they’re just there.
The Cardinals may be in that mix.
