The question has become not if but when the Arizona Cardinals will start a new quarterback for the third time in the 2017 season.
It seemed like the Blaine Gabbert era was all but upon us after a report surfaced of Drew Stanton's sprained knee from the Seattle game.
Then today happened and there seems to be a question again.
During open part of #AZCardinals practice, QB Drew Stanton had helmet, jogged out to QB area. Arians talks after practice but no injury report today.

Maybe Drew Stanton is just getting rehabbed and working towards getting healthy again and will be out this week and maybe next week.
Or, maybe Stanton is going to push through this and try and prove himself worthy of another contract in 2018, much to the chagrin of some fans.
Stanton will be a free agent again in 2018, maybe he wants this last chance to prove himself.
Gabbert is also a free agent after this year, but he has not passed Stanton on the depth chart yet, at least in the eyes of the only guy that matters, Bruce Arians.
Needless to say, we will update this as we get information, but it may not be time for everyone to board the Blaine train quite yet.
