You know what is fun?
Mock drafts.
You know what is not fun?
When all you have to look forward too until next year is mock drafts.
That’s not to say we won’t enjoy the thought put into the different mock drafts that we will be looking over... It is just... In week nine and mock drafts may be the most exciting thing?
This one is from Pro Football Focus and Cardinals fans will like the position, no idea what happens with the reaction to the player:
6. Arizona Cardinals
QB Josh Rosen, UCLA
With QB Carson Palmer nearing the end of his career, the Cardinals look to tap into Rosen’s potential as their quarterback of the future. There’s a Palmer-like boom-or-bust nature to Rosen’s game as he can sprinkle the field with NFL throws while backing that up with head-scratching decisions, but he’s an excellent intermediate thrower and his high-end flashes are as good as it gets in the class.
Obviously the pick spot is a guess, Cardinals technically have the 10th pick right now, but the position is the one everyone wants to see happen.
As for Rosen, he’s a high variance player, but his high end is special. He reminds me a lot of Eli Manning in that way. He doesn’t just have variance in games, but he’ll get into a groove for 2-3 weeks at a time.
He also fits the Bruce Arians mold at quarterback, a 6-4, 218lbs pocket passer who can move around the pocket.
What would you grade a pick of Josh Rosen?
