There is no silver linings in this season, but it can’t be all doom and gloom for the Arizona Cardinals and their fans.
In their loss to the Houston Texans, there were some big plays that made for an exciting game until the Texans pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Budda Baker gets you excited as a fan and then you saw some of the hope of what he can do as a defensive weapon.
When it comes to big plays, this seemed like a one that you could point to as a potential game changer.

Blaine Gabbert had a nice debut with the Arizona Cardinals, despite the final stat line. You knew asking Gabbert to win you a game would likely be a futile effort and it was, however the highlights were great.
The first one was a beautiful back shoulder to future Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald.
Then, the first of two touchdowns to undrafted free agent Ricky Seals-Jones.

And the second:

Another great play that you felt like could put the Cardinals maybe too far out in front of the Tom Savage led Texans was Patrick Peterson’s first interception of 2017:

In a game where you don’t like the outcome, there were some definite highlights for the Cardinals.
