It was exactly what we expected, the Arizona Cardinals to come out and put up 14 points behind Drew Stanton on offense and lead the San Francisco 49ers 14-3 at halftime.
In fact, the 14 points is the second most scored by the Cardinals in the first half this year… so maybe it was Carson Palmer… I kid.
Stanton does have two touchdowns to only one interception while Phil Dawson missed yet another field goal. So, the Cardinals could have even 10 more points on the scoreboard if not for the mistakes.
Let’s check out the leaders at the half:
Drew Stanton: 9/18 134 yards 2TD 1INT
Adrian Peterson: 17 carries 79 yards
Jermaine Gresham: 1 catch 11 yards 1TD
Jaron Brown: 1 catch 3 yards 1TD
Rodney Gunter: 1 sack
Corey Peters: 1 sack
Olsen Pierre & Haason Reddick: 0.5 sack each
49ers:
C.J. Beathard: 12/25 149 yards
Carlos Hyde: 7 carries 31 yards
Marquise Goodwin: 1 catch 55 yards
Eric Reid: 1 interception
