Tyrann Mathieu sounds off on Cardinals reporter

Mathieu was not happy about getting blamed for a couple of catches that were not on him.

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals took a big win on Sunday in their 20-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

However, not all was well.

The Cardinals gave up a couple pretty long pass plays from C.J. Beathard, who finished with a career high in yards.

On both plays, it appeared that Tyrann Mathieu was in coverage. Apparently, that was a wrong thought and Mathieu wanted to let Arizona Cardinals reporter (as in team reporter not someone who covers the team for another entity) Kyle Odegard knew it:

Coverages are fickle and fans and media often do not know the details and assignment for each player. Was Mathieu in coverage? I don’t know, but if he is taking to Twitter, then maybe he feels the need to educate in some way.

By the way, Odegard is a nice, hard working, smart football guy.

Mathieu hasn’t been himself, but today was closer to it. That’s been noticeable and maybe that is why he’s taking these things so hard.

This is an interesting one and one I am not ready to get into, but it clearly did not sit well with Mathieu.
