For the third time this season, and the first on the defensive side of the ball, the Arizona Cardinals had a player win NFC Player of the Week.
This time, it was linebacker Karlos Dansby who had a stat stuffing type of game, finishing with seven tackles, a sack, interception, a tackle for loss and two passes defended.
The most impressive stat coming out of that is the fact that this is Dansby’s second Player of the Week award in his career, and the first since 2007.
That means Dansby went a decade in between winning the award.
The Cardinals defense has not been as dominant as expected, but it came to life against a porous 49ers offense and gave the Cardinals and their fans some hopefulness that the rest of the season will return the Cardinals to being a strong defensive unit.
Congrats to Los on the award and the career achievements reached.
