For the Cardinals, it seems to be one of those seasons that it doesn’t matter what happens, who it is or the circumstances, the Arizona Cardinals cannot escape the injury bug.
That is never more evident than in the last week seeing both Jared Veldheer and most recently Adrian Peterson placed on injured reserve. Two players expected to step in and help ease the pain of the loss of D.J. Humphries and David Johnson respectively, are now on the IR along with the players they were supposed to replace.
Then, the Cardinals get important players back and then somehow, someway another player ends up on the injury report that was not there before.
Let’s take a look:

Obviously, seeing Budda Baker and Antoine Bethea being back as limited is important. Losing one would hurt, but not having either seems like it may be too much to overcome.
Then, Jermaine Gresham comes out of nowhere and shows up as a DNP with an illness. Hopefulle it is nothing serious.
Obviously, Peterson is now on the IR, but seeing Chandler Jones back as full is big for the Skins, who are still dynamic in the passing game.
Let’s hope the only missing starter this weekend, not on IR, will be Earl Watford, which we expected after the Titans win.
