Arizona Cardinals going back to Drew Stanton as starting quarterback

The tune only takes a minute to change. That had happened for the Arizona Cardinals.

They are going back to Drew Stanton for, at least the next week in the Cardinals final home game of 2017 against the hapless New York Giants.

This is a bit perplexing but again goes to the idea that the Cardinals are not throwing in the towel and know that the last 10 quarters show that whatever the Blaine Gabbert experience was, it was not about scoring touchdowns.

In fact, the Cardinals have scored seven touchdowns with Blaine Gabbert leading the charge and Gabbert has turned the ball over eight times… six interceptions and two fumbles.

In fact, his six interceptions is more than Stanton has ever thrown as a Cardinal. In 2014, Stanton threw the ball 240 times and was intercepted five times, his high as a Cardinal.

The move back to Stanton also begs the question… are those extension talks off with Gabbert?

We'll find out as the story continues to unfold.
