It was something that we’ve seen in this rivalry often.
An overwhelmed offense being suffocated by a dominating defense with enough plays being made by the quarterback to make things look really one sided.
We just are not used to see the Drew Stanton led Arizona Cardinals on the winning side of things.
For one half, that is what has happened.
The Cardinals defense was completely dominant, holding the Seahawks to 41 yards of total offense and only 2.6 yards per play for the Seahawks.
For the Cardinals, the offense is doing enough to give the defense a chance to win the game, avoiding turnovers, controlling the clock and letting the defense pin their ears back and go get the quarterback.
And Phil Dawson saved his best for last, as he is 2/2 one for 49 yards and made his extra point.
Cardinals Stats:
Drew Stanton 13/23 113 yards 1 touchdown
Kerwynn Williams 17 carries 64 yards
Elijhaa Penny 2 carries 13 yards 1 touchdown (ANDYSTANDSUP!!)
Larry Fitzgerald 8 catches 55 yards
Jaron Brown 1 catch 25 yards 1 touchdown
Seahakws Stats:
Russell Wilson 4/8 36 yards
Seahawks as a team 8 carries 11 yards
