Arizona Cardinals fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
According to Jim Trotter of ESPN, the veteran wide receiver is “definitely returning in 2017 to play the final year on his contract.”
Just spoke to Larry Fitzgerald, who said he's definitely returning in 2017 to play the final year on his contract. #Cardinals

For the Arizona Cardinals, this is the news they needed to hear, as it will bring their number one receiver back in the fold for one more year.
It also, likely but unconfirmed, that this means Carson Palmer will be returning to the Arizona Cardinals in 2017, as it is unlikely Fitzgerald would want to come back to break in another new quarterback with the Arizona Cardinals.
What Larry Fitzgerald means for the Arizona Cardinals on the football field is undeniable, but his work off the field and in the community is also one of the things that makes Fitzgerald so amazing as a player.
Hopefully we get an update from Larry soon enough to confirm this news, but it is exactly what we needed to hear heading into Super Bowl weekend.
