The NFL salary cap is rising again, which is a good thing for the Arizona Cardinals.
However, they will not have a ton of cap space to work with in 2017 offseason, without making a bevy of moves.
With the idea that the salary cap will be $168 million, I looked at the two best salary cap sites available to see how much money the Arizona Cardinals will be going into the 2017 offseason with:
Spotrac - 18th with $35,468,965
Over the Cap - 18th with $32,106,989
Obviously there is a big discrepancy in those numbers, $3 million is quite a bit in cap space when you are working with only roughly $35 million.
There are rumors that the NFL will make the salary cap a flat $170 million, which would be a nice $2 million increase for the Cardinals and help get them a little more breathing room.
However you slice it, the Cardinals have some work to do to get their own free agents back, little alone getting any big names in free agency.
