After yesterday’s Peter King bombshell of Jay Cutler being the Arizona Cardinals quarterback of the future, sitting behind Carson Palmer in 2017 and taking the reins in 2018, we needed more chaos.
Enter Dan Kadar’s newest mock draft, this one with trades!
Kadar has the Arizona Cardinals making a move in the first round in order to get their young quarterback of the future, from Kadar:
TRADE - 11. Arizona Cardinals (via New Orleans Saints): DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame
If the Cardinals want to get their quarterback of the future, they may need to trade up in the first round to do so. With Watson and Trubisky gone, Arizona could get aggressive and go after Kizer. He can sit behind Carson Palmer for a year, and Arizona may not have to give up much to make this move.
Everyone knows I love the pick, of course, do they need to move up?
I guess since Myles Garrett went first, sure, but he also has the Browns trading with the Patriots for the 12th pick (for Jimmy Garappollo) so I am not sure who they are trying to beat to Kizer in this instance, but... I will take it.
What would the two spots cost them?
Obviously their 13th pick, but probably would take a fourth rounder and maybe a sixth... Maybe a fifth.
Would you do that?
First, if the Cardinals think Kizer is their man, or any player, absolutely, but especially at quarterback.
Second, that is a cheap price to pay for your future.
What do you think?
