For the Arizona Cardinals, decisions are going to be made about how much they are going to invest in certain positions.
I looked at one of those positions yesterday for three interior offensive lineman, today we take a look at the inside linebacker role for their defense.
While Kevin Minter is a free agent set to cash a minor paycheck, there are some options of veterans who can come in and be solid backups or even play the starter role if pressed into the situation.
Here are three linebackers to keep an eye on for the Arizona Cardinals as free agency hits.
Sio Moore - Moore played well in his limited snaps with the Arizona Cardinals and looked like the player that the Oakland Raiders thought they were getting in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Moore could come in and play on a one year prove it deal if the Cardinals are able to land a linebacker they like in the 2017 NFL Draft, making the move easier for the rookie.
Perry Riley Jr. - Riley, like Moore, was a mid-season pick up, and he played extremely well for the Oakland Raiders. The 28 year old has the ability to play the run and the pass well. He could be in for a slightly bigger payday than Moore, so this may not work, but if he is coming below $2 million a year, he could be a nice addition for the Arizona Cardinals.
Gerald Hodges - Check out Andy’s profile on Hodges and why he could be a great fit with the Arizona Cardinals.
