We all know how special of a player Larry Fitzgerald is on the field.

He led the NFL in receptions in 2016, but even his greatness on the field cannot compare to what he does off of it.

That is why Larry Fitzgerald was named Walter Payton Man of the Year, along with New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

For the win, Fitzgerald will receive a $500,000 donation to the charity of his choice and a $500,000 donation in his name to expand Character Playbook across all NFL markets.

Fitzgerald's two foundations, the Larry Fitzgerald First Down Fund and the Carol Fitzgerald Memorial Fund, show what type of player and person Fitzgerald is and what he means to the Arizona Cardinals organization and the community.

Congratulations to Larry Fitzgerald and thank you for being a player Arizona Cardinals fans can be proud of not only on the field, but off the field as well.
