Arizona Cardinals linked to quarterback Patrick Mahomes

The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly interested in the Texas Tech signal caller, as high as round one.

It is the time of the season where we see all of the information on prospects being linked to teams.

While the Arizona Cardinals are already looking to hop into a relationship with Deshaun Watson, supposedly, they are already setting their eyes on someone else, and it has only been a week with Watson.

From Eric Galko of Sporting News:

Some I've spoken with are right in line with my evaluation, wondering if he is the top quarterback in this class and whether he should go in the top 15. Others laugh at the idea of a gunslinger who won five games in 2016 going top 20. Based on my reading at this point, he ranges from the sixth best passer for some teams to maybe No. 1 for others, way more variable than Watson.

To me, he's a less polished version of Matthew Stafford coming out of Georgia. I'd love to see him replace Jay Cutler in Chicago, but his most likely first-round spot for now is Arizona, with a host of teams interested if he falls to the second round.

The Arizona Cardinals, are linked to another quarterback, something I will talk about later on, but this one, Mahomes, is one that we all expected to be a target of the Cardinals. Maybe trade back in the first or trade up in the second round to get a chance to draft him.

To see this report, Mahomes is in play at 13 for the Arizona Cardinals because some teams view him as the top quarterback in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Our own Dink graded Mahomes the same as DeShone Kizer, Watson and Mitch Trubisky, so seeing Mahomes starting to get talk as a top 15 pick makes sense.

Of course, it is the season of disinformation, so who knows.
