Arizona Cardinals get Reuben Foster in newest Todd McShay Mock Draft

The Arizona Cardinals get the best defensive player in the 2017 NFL Draft in the newest mock draft from Todd McShay

When the 2016 season ended, one of the first questions that was asked was, which players would you bring back.

Kevin Minter is a tough one, but in Todd McShay’s newest 2017 NFL Mock Draft, he makes it a little easier.

13. Arizona Cardinals, 7-8-1

Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama

If the right QB is available here, I wouldn't count the Cardinals out. With Watson and Trubisky off the board, though, Foster is the pick. He's one of the 10 best players in this draft; the only reason he might slide a bit is his position. He shed weight and played much faster in 2016, proving to be an every-down linebacker. The Cardinals have six defensive starters set to hit free agency. Whom they re-sign will play a big role in the direction they take with this pick.

Obviously what they decide to do with Kevin Minter will matter, but Foster would, in my opinion, upgrade the inside linebacker position for the Arizona Cardinals immediately.

Of course, I have advocated that they could re-sign Minter, draft Foster and move Deone Bucannon back to safety and all of a sudden have potentially upgraded two positions... But I am just a guy with a keyboard.
