Free agency has come and the defections have started from the Arizona Cardinals. It makes sense, for the Cardinals, they finished the season 7-8-1 and as the incomparable Jess Root explained, it makes sense.
Makes sense you change over the roster of a 7-8-1 team if you want to win.

What tends to happen with teams is they get to their pinnacle and then teams wait too long to reshuffle the deck, and then windows close.
The Cardinals window with who they were closed, that is why you see the changes being made.
Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald and Patrick Peterson are really it left. You have a greater focus on David Johnson and Deone Bucannon now. Chandler Jones is one of the defensive leaders.
You have Tyrann Mathieu, but you never know for how long.
This change is hard to understand, but standing pat after 7-8-1 would have been even worse, in my opinion.
What is on your mind?
