Arizona Cardinals get quarterback in newest 2017 NFL Mock Draft from SB Nation

Could the Cardinals find their answer at quarterback in Mitchell Trubisky.

The Arizona Cardinals have a lot of changes coming after the beginning of the 2017 free agency frenzy.

That means finding a new mock draft in order to reflect those changes.

Thankfully, Dan Kadar of SB Nation’s Mocking the Draft has you covered, with a mock draft that puts a weight on free agency.

Except, for the Arizona Cardinals, nothing has really changed.

From Kadar:

13. Arizona Cardinals: Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina

If the quarterbacks do fall, a team like the Cardinals could start grooming their future franchise signal caller. Trubisky has good skills and would be a good understudy for Carson Palmer.

Would Mitch Trubisky be a fit for the Arizona Cardinals?

He has a good arm, is a very good athlete, bordering on great for the quarterback position, and seems like the ideal player to groom behind Palmer for a year.

However, Justin and I have openly wondered on the podcast if there was the mental side of things that hampered Trubisky and why he could not supplant Marquis Willaims as the starter at North Carolina.

Blake Murphy has wrote extensively on his different red flags that Trubisky possesses. That, worries me as well at 13.

All that being said, I am a firm believer in you take the quarterback you want. Whether that is at 1 for the Browns or 13 for the Cardinals, you take the quarterback if he is “your guy”.

I may not agree with Trubisky there, but I will understand it and be aboard the bandwagon.
