The meetings carry on for the Arizona Cardinals and we know of one that is coming with North Carolina State’s hard hitting, combine destroying Josh Jones.
Jones, of the NFL Combine fame for his blazing 4.41 forty at 6-1 and 220lbs, is the size/speed freak that the Arizona Cardinals have been trying to move towards in their secondary.
With Patrick Peterson in tow, Justin Bethel and Brandon Williams fighting it out at the second corner spot and Tyvon Branch, the Cardinals are betting on athletes with size and speed over everything else.
As Ben Fennell noted:
Not many players in college football have PBUs vs Njoku and Mike Williams in 2016...

NC State safety Josh Jones does! pic.twitter.com/XPWiXo4003
The issue, again, seems to be about when.
I have talked with Justin about this quite a bit, Jones isn’t the natural safety of Malik Hooker, the presence of Jamal Adams or the playmaker of Budda Baker, but he has something all three of those players do not... That 6-1 220, 4.41 speed.
Jones looks much more natural down in the box, but he has shown improvement deep, just how much is the question.
Wouldn't be surprised if NC State safety Josh Jones went in 1st round. Tape is great, height/weight/speed, tough & productive.

The Cardinals can’t draft him at 13... Can they?
