The Arizona Cardinals are likely losing their starting safety, Tony Jefferson to the Baltimore Ravens according to multiple ESPN reports.
The Cardinals had tried to keep Jefferson in house, but could not get a deal done, without knowing the financial aspect, we cannot speculate, but it sure seems like the deal should be over $6 million a season, based on what we heard was the Cardinals had been offering.
For Jefferson, it is about finally get what he felt he has deserved since he entered the draft and that is a payday and recognition for his ability one the field.
He has bee considered one of the better safeties in the NFL per Pro Football Focus the last couple of years, so it is not surprising to see him finally cash in. Let’s see how this works out and good luck to Tony Jefferson moving forward.
