A look at one scenario for the Arizona Cardinals.

It's the wind down time of the 2017 NFL Draft season and that means the internet is giving us more and more mock drafts to dissect.

My good friend Kyle Posey, he of Bolts from the Blue, B/R 1000, and now FanRag Sports dropped his mock draft yesterday.

Am I bringing you this mock because Kyle is a close personal friend? Actually no, not this time. I am bringing you this mock because he did something every Arizona Cardinals fan is begging the team to do… trade down

In his draft he has the Arizona Cardinals trading the 13th overall pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 19th pick and the 84th pick, they'll likely have to add in a 2018 pick as well.

That drops the Cardinals from 13 to 19 where Kyle has this to say:

19. Jabrill Peppers, S, Michigan

I like his fit with Arizona. This might be a little high for Peppers but for a team that likes to get as many defensive backs on the field and is in need of a player in the box, Peppers is the pick. Peppers should add value in the return game as well.

With that pick the Cardinals address the loss of both Tony Jefferson and D.J. Swearinger while adding a valuable piece if they decide they want to move back up to get a falling quarterback anywhere.

Three quarterbacks are off the board:

Deshaun Watson - 4 to Jacksonville Jaguars
Patrick Mahomes II - 12 to Cleveland Browns
Mitch Trubisky - 17 to Washington Redskins

If the Cardinals wanted to move up to get DeShone Kizer, who has fallen out of round one, at 33 before San Francisco, they could deal their 45 and newly acquired 84.

So the Cardinals for moving down six spots could get a defender and then move up and get a QB of the future, while not losing any draft picks.

Well done, Kyle… well done.
