Arizona Cardinals may "love" Patrick Mahomes per Peter King

The story... It's changing for the Arizona Cardinals.

It was only a couple weeks ago that we last heard the Arizona Cardinals would not draft Mitchell Trubisky or Patrick Mahomes with the 13th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Maybe that is because they love one of them so much they may trade up?

Or maybe it is because they knew early they wanted Mahomes.

Peter King had his Monday Morning Quarterback article released today and in it, there was an interesting nugget on the Arizona Cardinals:

5. The Cardinals like Mahomes. They pick 13th. They might love him. Beware, Cleveland. Arizona GM Steve Keim’s a bold guy. Emily Kaplan’s “24 Hours” piece with Mahomes illustrates why Mahomes is so well-liked in the NFL community.

That raises a huge question for the Arizona Cardinals, how much does like matter and if it is love, are they ready to invest?

There are a lot of unknowns out there, but this information shows us that no one knows for sure what the Arizona Cardinals are up to.

The Cardinals playing their hand close to the vest makes sense, they have had teams trade up in front of them multiple times for players they want. Maybe they are trying to prevent that again.

Or, perhaps they have their eyes elsewhere and this would help push that player down if someone else moved up for Mahomes.

No matter what, this whole time is extremely exciting.
