A couple of things right off the bat, the Cardinals have a heavy away schedule early, starting with five of their eight games on the road. Which means the end of the season will have five of eight games at home.
They only have one real prime time game, that is week three against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football (every team gets a Thursday game so I didn’t count that).
After being the darlings of the NFL world last year, with a number of high profile games, they are now getting tempered treatment, that is what 7-8-1 gets you.
They have to start better than they did in 2016, that is a given, but the end of their schedule could be brutal, with the last four weeks against teams that were in the playoffs or in the hunt late.
